Alessandro Brioschi is a PhD candidate in Economic History at Queen's University Belfast. His research examines the formation of skills and the functioning of pre-industrial labour markets in Europe between 1400 and 1800, with a particular focus on apprenticeship as a key institution shaping access to work and economic outcomes. His work combines quantitative and historical approaches to study how labour markets operated and how institutions influenced inequality over the long run. He is a member of the Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH), an all-Ireland centre of excellence linking Queen’s University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin. More information is available on his personal webpage: https://alessandrobrioschi.github.io/
