Giovanna Invernizzi

Giovanna Invernizzi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. Her research combines formal theory with empirical and experimental evidence to study parties, politicians, and voters. One line of work uses game theory to examine the organization of political parties: how features of the competitive environment — such as electoral rules — shape parties' behavior in the electoral arena and in legislatures. Another research area focuses on party selection and electoral accountability.
