Measuring Ethnic Diversity and Cohesion
Aims
Develop and estimate a multidimensional index of diversity that combines information on population shares of different ethnicities with information on income, education, employment and in general socio-economic outcomes. This information will take into account the distance among ethnic groups along several dimensions that may constitute relevant cleavages for social cohesion and conflict.
