Call for papers for special issue on Methods for modelling and understanding population changes
A call for papers on “Methods for modelling and understanding population changes” for a special issue of the journal Quality and Quantity is now open. The special issue aims to collate articles on cutting-edge research questions related to the measurement of population changes. Contributions are invited on the following four main topics:
- Statistical methods and mathematical tools for modelling and forecasting demographic changes: mortality forecasting, fertility forecasting, population projections.
- Measuring population health inequality: interest in health conditions, population ageing, demographic and socioeconomic differences among health profiles.
- Big data and data sources for digital and computational demography.
- Statistical advances for well-being measurements: poverty measurements, spatial analysis of competitiveness, and measures of well-being and quality of life.
Reproducible applications with open coding are encouraged. The deadline for submission 30 November 2022.
